Barcode Pick, Pack & Fulfill is a warehouse-grade fulfillment layer built directly on top of your Shopify store. Instead of pickers reading paper sheets and guessing, your team scans a barcode at every step — and the order cannot be marked fulfilled until every line is scan-verified. That single rule is what kills mis-ships.
This is not an instant App Store install. ECOSIRE builds, configures, and installs this app for your store, your SKUs, your bin layout, and your packing workflow. We provision a private Shopify app with the Admin GraphQL API and OAuth scopes for orders, fulfillment, and inventory, subscribe to orders/create and fulfillments/create webhooks, and respect your existing multi-location inventory so stock decrements at the correct location.
On the floor, pickers use any phone or rugged Android scanner as a mobile PWA. The app generates batch / wave pick lists, sorts them into an optimized pick path using bin locations stored in Shopify metafields (or a mapping we import), and walks the picker bin-to-bin. At the pack station, each item is scanned against the order; a mismatch is blocked and logged to an error audit trail. When the order is verified, the app writes the fulfillment back to Shopify, prints the packing slip and shipping label, and triggers the customer's shipment notification.
You get a system tuned to how your warehouse actually runs — not a generic toolbar bolted onto checkout. Pricing is a one-time build fee of $249; hosting, scope changes, and ongoing support are quoted transparently. Is this an instant download from the Shopify App Store?
No. This is a build-to-order app. ECOSIRE builds, configures, and installs it for your specific store, SKUs, and warehouse layout, then installs it on your store via a private OAuth app. You are buying a custom-fit fulfillment system, not a generic one-click listing.
How long until it's live in my warehouse?
After purchase we run a short scoping call to capture your SKU structure, bin layout, printers, and packing workflow. A standard build is typically delivered and installed within about 2 to 4 weeks depending on complexity, the number of locations, and any custom label or integration requirements. We confirm the exact timeline in writing before we start building.
What happens to support and updates after it's installed?
The one-time $249 build fee covers the build, installation, and initial training. Ongoing support, Shopify API version updates, bug fixes, and new feature requests are handled under a transparent support arrangement we quote up front — so you are never surprised by a bill. Because Shopify deprecates Admin API versions on a schedule, we recommend a maintenance plan so your app stays current.
Will it work with my existing Shopify multi-location inventory?
Yes. The app reads your Shopify locations and decrements stock at the correct location when an order is packed, using the Admin GraphQL API. Bin/shelf locations live inside each location as metafields, so a picker is routed to the right physical aisle for the right fulfillment location.
Do my pickers need special scanner hardware?
No special hardware is required. The picking and packing client runs as a mobile PWA in the browser on any modern phone, tablet, or rugged Android scanner with a camera. If you already own dedicated barcode guns, we configure the system to work with them too.
How exactly does it prevent mis-ships?
Every order line must be scanned at the pack station and matched against the order before fulfillment is allowed. A wrong item or wrong quantity is blocked on the spot and written to an audit log. Because the fulfillment write-back to Shopify only fires after full scan verification, an unverified or mismatched order physically cannot be marked shipped.
