Shopify is great at selling but weak at proving the numbers. When an accountant or auditor asks "does the money in your bank match the sales in Shopify, and is the tax right per jurisdiction?", merchants usually fall back to CSV exports, manual spreadsheets and late nights before filing. Accounting Audit & Reconciliation Reports closes that gap.
ECOSIRE builds and installs a private Shopify app tailored to your store. Using the Shopify Admin GraphQL API and OAuth with read-only financial scopes (read_orders, read_shopify_payments_payouts, read_fulfillments), plus orders/create, refunds/create and payouts/... webhooks, it continuously ingests every order, line item, tax line, discount, refund and Shopify Payments payout. It then three-way reconciles sales recorded in Shopify against payout deposits against the gross/fee/net breakdown — so you can see exactly what hit the bank and why it differs from your sales total.
On top of that it produces a per-jurisdiction tax liability breakdown from each order's tax lines, flags discrepancies and missing transactions (orders with no matching payout, payouts with no order, rounding gaps, currency-conversion deltas), and gives you a per-order drill-down audit trail from report figure back to the source order, transaction and webhook event.
Reports export to CSV, Excel and PDF, can be scheduled to email your accountant, and use a custom report builder shaped around how your bookkeeper actually files. Because it is build-to-order, it is matched to your store's currencies, tax regions, sales channels and accounting period — not a generic template.
This is not an instant App Store install. ECOSIRE scopes, builds, installs and supports it for you, then hands over a private app running against your store.

How long does it take to build and install?
Typical delivery is two to four weeks from kickoff, depending on how many currencies, tax jurisdictions and sales channels you run and how custom your report formats are. After a short scoping call we confirm a firm timeline, build the private app, install it on your store via OAuth, validate the reconciliation against a known accounting period with you, and hand it over. Rush timelines are possible if you are up against a filing deadline.
Do I get ongoing support and updates?
Yes. Every build includes a post-launch support window for fixes and tuning, and ECOSIRE maintains the app against Shopify Admin API version changes and webhook deprecations so it keeps working as Shopify evolves. Ongoing support, new report types and changes (new tax regions, new channels, format tweaks) are available on a maintenance arrangement after the included window.
Is this a Shopify App Store app I can install instantly?
No. This is a build-to-order private app. ECOSIRE scopes, builds, installs and supports it specifically for your store and your accountant's requirements rather than shipping a one-size-fits-all download. What Shopify data does it access, and is it secure?
It connects through OAuth using read-only financial scopes such as read_orders, read_shopify_payments_payouts and read_fulfillments, plus order, refund and payout webhooks. It does not need or request write access to your store. Every ingested transaction is stored in an immutable event log so the reports are backed by defensible, traceable audit evidence rather than a one-off snapshot.
Will the reports reconcile to my actual bank deposits and tax filings?
That is the core purpose. The app three-way reconciles Shopify-recorded sales and refunds against Shopify Payments payout deposits against the gross/fee/net breakdown, so you can see exactly what reached your bank and why it differs from your sales total. It also breaks tax liability out per jurisdiction from each order's tax lines so the figures you file match the figures Shopify collected.
Can the reports feed into QuickBooks, Xero or Excel?
Yes. Reports export to CSV, Excel and PDF and the report builder is configured around your chart of accounts and the columns your bookkeeper files, so the output drops into QuickBooks, Xero, your spreadsheet workflow or an audit file. Scheduled delivery can email those packs to your accountant automatically on whatever cadence suits your close process.
