Amazon Pay Express for Shopify lets your shoppers check out using the Amazon account they already trust — pulling in their saved Amazon addresses and payment methods so they skip manual entry and finish faster. For first-time visitors who hesitate at an unfamiliar checkout, the familiar Amazon button is a recognised trust signal that can reduce abandonment.

This is not an instant Shopify App Store download. ECOSIRE builds the integration to order for your specific store, theme and Amazon Pay merchant account, then installs and supports it. We register a custom app against your store via OAuth, request the minimum scopes needed (checkout, orders, customers), and wire Amazon Pay's checkout flow into your storefront with an Amazon Pay button rendered on cart and product pages through theme app blocks or a script.

On the backend we connect to the Amazon Pay API to create checkout sessions, capture buyer-confirmed addresses and payment, and reconcile each order back into Shopify via the Admin GraphQL API. Webhooks (orders/create, orders/paid, refunds/create) keep state in sync, and refunds issued in Shopify are pushed back to Amazon Pay so settlement stays consistent. Buyer and session references are stored in order metafields for auditability and support lookups.

How long until my Amazon Pay checkout is live?

After we confirm scope and you provide access to your Shopify store and Amazon Pay merchant account, typical delivery is a few business days. We build the integration, test transactions in sandbox, install it on your live theme and verify go-live with you. Complex themes or custom checkout requirements can extend this; we agree a firm timeline before starting.

Is this an instant App Store download?

No. This is a build-to-order integration. ECOSIRE registers a custom app against your store via OAuth, builds the Amazon Pay flow for your specific theme and merchant account, then installs and tests it. You are not installing a generic listed app — you receive an integration matched to your store.

What ongoing support and updates do I get?

Every build includes ECOSIRE support and compatibility maintenance. If Shopify's Admin API, theme structure or Amazon Pay's API changes, we keep your integration working. Reach us for issues, configuration changes or button placement adjustments after launch — you are not left maintaining a one-off plugin alone.

Do I need my own Amazon Pay merchant account?

Yes. Amazon Pay processes the payments, so you need an approved Amazon Pay merchant account for your region. We configure your credentials into the integration and handle the Shopify-side wiring, but the merchant relationship, payouts and any Amazon fees are between you and Amazon Pay.

How are refunds and order data kept in sync?

Orders flow into Shopify via the Admin GraphQL API, and webhooks on orders/create, orders/paid and refunds/create keep both systems aligned. Refunds you issue in Shopify are pushed back to Amazon Pay so settlement matches. Amazon Pay buyer and session references are stored in order metafields for support and audit lookups.

Which regions and currencies are supported?
