No. You are paid upfront in full at order time. Afterpay/Clearpay carries the consumer-credit risk and collects the installments from the shopper. The integration simply reconciles order, capture and refund state between Shopify and Afterpay so your records stay accurate.

Refunds you issue in Shopify are synced to Afterpay through the Admin GraphQL API and refunds/create webhooks, so the shopper's installment plan is adjusted or cancelled correctly. We test this against sample orders during the build and document the flow in your handover.

No. We render the 'pay in 4' price breakdown server-side using your theme's Liquid sections and metafields, styled to match your brand tokens, rather than injecting a heavy generic script. On headless stores we hook it into your Storefront API rendering. It stays consistent with your design and remains crawlable for SEO.

Yes. Afterpay and Clearpay are the same service under different brand names by region. We configure currency- and country-aware messaging via Shopify Markets so US/AU/NZ shoppers see Afterpay and UK shoppers see Clearpay, each in the correct currency.
