Most manufacturing teams running Odoo can see a finished good's standard cost, but they cannot answer the harder question: what did this specific manufacturing order actually cost to produce? Odoo core values the MO from the BoM's component cost and, on Enterprise, adds work-center-based operation cost via mrp.workcenter.productivity, but it does not give you a single, auditable cost sheet that separates material, labor, and overhead per MO — nor does it let you layer plant overhead (electricity, depreciation, indirect labor, consumables) onto a run using a rate you control. Once real-world variance, scrap, over-consumption, and idle time enter the picture, the standard-cost picture and the shop-floor reality drift apart, and Finance ends up rebuilding costs in a spreadsheet.
This is what we build. Process Cost of Manufacturing Orders is a custom Odoo module that extends mrp.production with a computed cost breakdown that rolls up three streams onto each order: material (actual consumed quantities from stock.move valuation, not just BoM planned qty), labor (time posted to work orders via mrp.workorder/mrp.workcenter.productivity, priced at a configurable per-work-center or per-employee rate), and overhead (absorbed via a rate model you define — percentage of material, per labor hour, per machine hour, or a flat per-MO charge). The engine is a set of stored compute fields with tight @api.depends chains so figures recalculate when moves are done, work orders are closed, or overhead rates change, and a nightly ir.cron reconciliation catches late postings. We add a dedicated cost-sheet model and a QWeb PDF/HTML report that shows planned vs. actual by cost element with variance columns, plus optional posting of the overhead absorption to a configurable analytic account and journal so your account.move valuation reflects the loaded cost — not just raw material.
Technically it ships as a proper Odoo addon: a clean __manifest__.py declaring dependencies on mrp (and account/stock_account where financial posting is in scope), ORM models with indexed cost fields, ir.model.access.csv plus record rules so cost sheets respect multi-company and manufacturing-manager vs. operator visibility, XML/OWL views embedded on the MO form and a standalone cost-analysis list/pivot, and everything exposed through Odoo's XML-RPC/JSON-RPC API so your BI tools or a Power BI connector can pull MO-level actuals. It targets Odoo 17.0, 18.0, and 19.0, and we handle the Community vs. Enterprise difference explicitly — on Community we implement the work-order time capture the costing needs; on Enterprise we build on the existing MRP work-center analytics.
Because this is made to order, nothing is downloaded from an app store on day one. After a short scoping call we confirm exactly how your overhead rates, labor pricing, and financial posting should behave, then build against a copy of your database, hand you the source, install and configure it on staging for UAT, and go live. Typical delivery is 2–4 weeks from confirmed scope. Pricing starts from $349 (indicative, single-company base scope); multi-company overhead rules, per-employee labor rates, deeper analytic/journal posting, localization of the cost report, and migration of historical MO cost data increase the quoted scope. You receive a fixed quote after the scoping call — never a surprise.
Owns product costing and needs per-MO actuals split into material, labor, and overhead to explain variance to Finance without rebuilding numbers in a spreadsheet.
Runs the shop floor on Odoo MRP and wants to see which orders, products, or work centers absorb the most overhead and idle time, straight from the MO.
Needs loaded manufacturing cost — not just raw material — reflected in analytic accounts and inventory valuation for accurate margin and COGS reporting.
Maintains the database and wants a properly packaged, access-controlled addon with clean source and API exposure, not a fragile server action or one-off script.
| 标准 | 伊科西尔 | 定制建造 | 竞争对手 | 奥杜本机 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cost breakdown | Material, labor, and overhead split per MO with variance | Whatever you build and maintain in-house | Often material-only or fixed cost buckets | |
| Overhead absorption | Configurable % / labor-hr / machine-hr / flat, effective-dated | Fully flexible but you design the whole model | Usually one fixed method, hard to change | |
| Fit to your process | Scoped and built to your rates and reporting | Exact fit if specced and resourced correctly | Generic; you adapt to the app's assumptions | |
| Odoo version support | Built for 17.0 / 18.0 / 19.0, Community or Enterprise | Depends on your developer | Varies by listing; may lag versions | |
| Financial posting | Optional analytic account + journal posting of overhead | Possible with extra dev effort | Rarely posts loaded overhead to accounting | |
| Source & ownership | Full source + git repo handover, no lock-in | You own it outright | Licensed binary/obfuscated per listing terms | |
| Support | Post-go-live window + optional ongoing support | Your team owns all fixes | Vendor tickets, variable response | |
| Cost & timeline | From $349 indicative; fixed quote, 2–4 weeks | Higher build cost and longer timeline | Low upfront, but fit/support risk |
This is a build-to-order module, so it is built for your database after we agree the scope. Typical delivery is 2–4 weeks from confirmed scope, covering build, installation, UAT on staging, and go-live. Larger scopes (multi-company overhead rules, deep financial posting, historical data migration) sit at the upper end of that range and are confirmed in your quote.
No. It is not an instant apps.odoo.com download. ECOSIRE builds it to your requirements, installs it, and supports it. You receive the full source code and a git repository at handover, so you own what we deliver.
Pricing starts from $349 as an indicative figure for a single-company base scope. After a short scoping call we confirm your overhead model, labor pricing, and any financial-posting needs, then give you a fixed quote. Drivers like multi-company rules, per-employee rates, analytic/journal posting depth, report localization, and historical MO data migration increase the scope and the quote.
Every build includes a post-go-live support window for defect fixes and configuration questions. Beyond that, we offer ongoing support and can build enhancements or port the module to a future Odoo version as a follow-on engagement. Because you hold the source and git repo, you are never locked in.
Both, and we handle the difference explicitly. On Enterprise we build on the existing MRP work-center productivity/time tracking; on Community, where that time capture is thinner, we implement the work-order time posting the costing engine needs. We support Odoo 17.0, 18.0, and 19.0.
You choose the absorption model during scoping: a percentage of material cost, a rate per labor hour, a rate per machine hour, or a flat charge per manufacturing order. Rates are effective-dated, so a closed MO keeps the rate that applied when it ran, and we can optionally post the absorbed overhead to a configurable analytic account and journal.
The module is additive — it reads consumed stock moves and work-order time and computes a cost sheet on top. We build and test against a copy of your database with a documented rollback plan, and any financial posting is opt-in and configured with your Finance team before go-live.
