Supplier Quality & Incoming PPAP/FAI is a build-to-order Odoo application that ECOSIRE designs, develops, installs and supports for automotive and aerospace quality teams who must prove supplier conformance — not a pre-packaged apps.odoo.com download. After you order, our Odoo engineers scope your PPAP element list, part families, inspection frequencies and AVL rules, then build a purpose-fit module for your Odoo 17, 18 or 19 database (Community or Enterprise) with a typical lead time of one working week.
The module turns supplier quality from spreadsheets and shared drives into governed, auditable Odoo records. PPAP and First Article Inspection (FAI) submissions become tracked documents with the full 18-element library, submission levels 1–5, dimensional/AS9102 forms and part-status approval gates. Every incoming receipt can trigger an inspection plan defined per supplier-part, with sampling, characteristics and disposition (accept / reject / use-as-is / deviation). Non-conformances raise Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR / 8D) with due dates, containment, root cause and effectiveness verification. Live vendor scorecards compute PPM, on-time delivery and NCR/SCAR rate straight from your Odoo purchase, inventory and quality data.
Under the hood it is real Odoo engineering: new business objects extend models.Model with typed fields and @api.depends compute methods (so PPM and scorecard ratings recalculate automatically), access is locked down with ir.model.access.csv plus record rules for multi-company and supplier scoping, and the UI ships as list/form/kanban XML views (with OWL components where interactivity helps). Approvals and reminders run through Odoo automated actions and activities; PPAP packages, FAI reports and scorecards export as branded QWeb PDF reports. It integrates cleanly with res.partner (vendors), product.template/product.product (parts), purchase.order and stock.picking, and exposes the same data over Odoo's XML-RPC / JSON-RPC API so your PLM, supplier portal or BI tools can read and write it.

What is the delivery lead time?
Typical lead time is one working week from the point requirements are confirmed. Simpler PPAP/inspection scopes land nearer 2 weeks; deeper AS9102/FAI, custom scorecard formulas or integrations move toward 4 weeks. We share a milestone schedule at kickoff and keep you updated through delivery.
How does support and updates work after go-live?
Every build includes a post-go-live support window for bug fixes and configuration adjustments. Because we build the module upgrade-safe (no core hacks) and hand over the source code and Git repo, it moves cleanly across Odoo point releases and major versions. You can extend support or retain us for ongoing enhancements and version upgrades.
Does it work on Odoo Community or only Enterprise?
Both. The module is built on standard Odoo ORM, views and security, so it runs on Community or Enterprise for Odoo 17, 18 and 19. If your scorecards or workflows should tie into Enterprise-only apps, we design around your specific edition during scoping.
How does it integrate with our existing purchasing and inventory data?
It builds on native Odoo objects — res.partner for vendors, product.template/product.product for parts, purchase.order and stock.picking for receipts — so scorecards and inspections use your real transactional data rather than a separate silo. All objects are also exposed over XML-RPC/JSON-RPC for PLM, supplier-portal or BI integration.
Can it enforce our specific PPAP elements, submission levels and inspection frequencies?
Yes. During scoping we configure the PPAP element requirements, submission levels (1–5), part-family rules and per-supplier-part inspection frequencies to match your quality manual and customer-specific requirements, including AVL and part-approval gating on purchase orders.
Do we own the code, or are we locked into ECOSIRE?
You own it. We hand over the full module source and a Git repository. You are free to maintain it yourself or with any Odoo partner — though most clients keep us on for support because we know the build.
