Reports render through QWeb for clean PDF output and a wizard-driven TransientModel filter panel (date range, fiscal period, journal, analytic account, comparison period, posted-vs-all, and multi-currency where relevant). Every figure is drill-down: click a line and it opens the underlying account.move.line set via a standard act_window action, so numbers are always traceable back to source documents.

Technically, the suite ships as a versioned addon with its own __manifest__.py, models under models/, wizard views in XML/OWL, and QWeb templates for print. Access is locked down with ir.model.access.csv plus record rules so report wizards respect company boundaries and your existing accounting user groups — no widening of permissions.
