Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce ship with Multi-Source Inventory (MSI) — sources, stocks and reservations — but MSI stops at the source level. It has no concept of a bin, aisle, rack or zone, no mobile picking workflow, and no native bridge to your ERP or carrier. This extension is the WMS layer that fills that gap.
ECOSIRE builds this as a proper Magento module under app/code/Ecosire/Wms, wired through di.xml dependency injection, plugins/interceptors on the MSI SourceItem and order pipelines, and observers on sales_order_place_after and shipment events. Every warehouse object — bin, zone, putaway rule, pick task — is exposed through service contracts (PHP interfaces) and surfaced over both REST and GraphQL, so your floor app, ERP and TMS read and write through stable, versioned APIs rather than direct table access.
On the floor, staff use a mobile-optimised picking and putaway app (barcode/QR scan) that talks to dedicated REST endpoints, with wave, batch and zone picking and directed putaway. Allocation is multi-warehouse and omnichannel-aware, extending MSI source selection so orders draw from the optimal location by stock, distance or priority. Admin screens are governed by granular ACL resources under Ecosire_Wms::*, and background reconciliation, cycle counts and ERP syncs run on Magento cron.
This is honestly build-to-order, not an instant Marketplace download. After purchase ECOSIRE scopes your warehouse layout, builds, installs and configures the module on your Magento install (Open Source or Adobe Commerce, cloud or on-prem), integrates your specific ERP (NetSuite, SAP, Odoo, Dynamics) and carriers, runs UAT, then supports it. How long until the WMS is live on our store, and what is the delivery process?
This is build-to-order, not an instant Marketplace download. After purchase we run a short discovery to map your warehouse layout, MSI sources, ERP and carriers, then build, install and configure the module on your staging environment for UAT before go-live. Typical delivery is 3–5 weeks; a single-warehouse build with one standard ERP/carrier integration lands at the shorter end, while multi-warehouse or complex ERP work extends it. You get a firm timeline in writing after discovery.
What ongoing support and updates are included after launch?
Every build includes a post-launch support window for bug fixes and configuration help. After that we offer optional maintenance covering Magento/Adobe Commerce version-compatibility updates, security patches, and small enhancements. Because we built the module to Magento conventions (service contracts, di.xml, declarative schema), it upgrades cleanly alongside your platform — we handle setup:upgrade and di:compile during maintenance so a Magento minor upgrade does not break your warehouse operations.
Does this work with Magento Open Source, or only Adobe Commerce?
Both. The module extends native Multi-Source Inventory (MSI), which ships in Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce alike, so the core WMS works on either edition. On Adobe Commerce we can additionally hook into B2B, shared catalog and advanced inventory reservation features where relevant. We confirm your exact edition and version during onboarding and build against it.
Will it integrate with our existing ERP and shipping carriers?
Yes — that is a core reason to choose a build-to-order WMS over a generic extension. The base build includes one ERP integration (NetSuite, SAP, Odoo, Microsoft Dynamics or similar) and one carrier/TMS integration, scoped during onboarding. Sync runs over REST/GraphQL with idempotent, retry-safe jobs on Magento cron so a transient ERP outage never corrupts stock. Additional ERPs, carriers or marketplaces are quoted as add-ons.
Is the mobile picking app a separate native app we have to install on every device?
No app-store install required. The floor app is a mobile-optimised, scanner-compatible web app (PWA-style) that runs in the browser on standard Android/iOS handhelds or rugged scanners, talking to dedicated REST endpoints secured by Magento ACL. That keeps rollout simple — open a URL, log in, scan — and avoids per-device app maintenance. If you have specific hardware, we validate barcode/QR scanning against it during UAT.
