Mercado Libre is the dominant marketplace across Latin America, but its API model — site-scoped accounts (MLA, MLB, MLM, MLC and more), category-driven listing attributes, and OAuth 2.0 with rotating refresh tokens — does not map cleanly onto a standard Magento catalog. This is a build-to-order extension: ECOSIRE builds it as a proper Magento 2 module under app/code/Ecosire/MercadoLibre, installs it on your Magento Open Source or Adobe Commerce instance, and supports it afterward. It is not an instant Adobe Commerce Marketplace download.
The module authenticates against the Mercado Libre REST API, then keeps both systems in agreement. Product profiling lets you bulk-list Magento catalog products with per-site category and attribute mapping (condition, brand, GTIN, listing type, warranty), validated against Mercado Libre's categories and category_attributes endpoints before publish. Inventory, price and order sync run on Magento cron at intervals you choose, with each run logged for audit. Order import pulls Mercado Libre orders into native Magento sales orders — customer, shipping (including Mercado Envíos), line items and fees — so fulfillment, invoicing and reporting stay in Magento.
Built the Magento way: service contracts for the API layer, dependency injection via di.xml, plugins/interceptors instead of core rewrites, observers on sales_order_save_after for status push-back, admin ACL for permissions, and encrypted credential storage. We also support Global Selling / Cross-Border Trade (CBT) so a single catalog can target multiple Mercado Libre sites.
You get the source code, an install on your environment, and a defined support window. We scope to your Magento version, theme and existing integrations first — no generic black box.

How long until the extension is delivered and live on my store?
Because this is build-to-order, there is a lead time. After a scoping call we confirm your Magento edition and version, target Mercado Libre sites, catalog size and required attribute mappings, then give a fixed delivery estimate — typically a few weeks for a standard scope. We install and validate on a staging environment first, then deploy to production with you. It is not an instant download.
Do I get ongoing support and updates after launch?
Yes. Every build includes a defined post-launch support and bug-fix window. Because Mercado Libre evolves its API (categories, listing requirements, shipping), we offer an optional ongoing maintenance plan to keep the module compatible with both Mercado Libre API changes and your future Magento upgrades. You own the source code either way.
Does this work on Magento Open Source or only Adobe Commerce?
Both. The module is built with standard Magento 2 architecture (service contracts, di.xml, plugins, observers, cron, ACL) and runs on Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce. We scope to your exact version so it coexists with your theme and existing modules, and we can use Adobe Commerce features such as B2B or advanced MSI where relevant.
Which Mercado Libre countries and Global Selling are supported?
The module uses Mercado Libre's site-scoped API, so it supports the country sites you sell on — Argentina (MLA), Brazil (MLB), Mexico (MLM), Chile (MLC) and others. It supports Global Selling / Cross-Border Trade (CBT) so one Magento catalog can list across multiple sites, with per-site category mapping, currency and pricing handled per country.
How does inventory and order sync actually run, and will it slow down my store?
Sync runs on Magento cron at intervals you choose, in the background — not on customer page loads — so storefront performance is unaffected. Inventory pulls from Magento MSI quantities, prices apply your per-site rules, and orders import as native Magento sales orders. Every run is logged with errors and retry, and you can set conflict rules (for example, Magento as the source of truth for stock) so concurrent edits never silently overwrite each other.
