Supplier Quality & Incoming Inspection is a custom Dynamics 365 Business Central extension that gives purchasing and quality teams real control over vendor-supplied material — without bolting on a separate quality system or living in spreadsheets.
This is a build-to-order app, not an instant AppSource download. ECOSIRE builds it in AL as a per-tenant extension (or, where you prefer, a private AppSource-style app package), installs it directly on your Business Central environment (cloud SaaS or on-prem), and supports it afterward. We tailor the inspection plans, sampling rules, and scorecard formulas to how your team actually works.
Functionally, the extension subscribes to posting events on Purchase Receipts (OnAfterPostPurchaseDoc) to auto-raise inspection records, places received quantity into a quarantine/non-conforming Location or bin until disposition, and writes inspection results back against the item ledger. Inspection plans are defined per Item / Vendor No. combination, with skip-lot and AQL sampling rules to right-size inspection effort. Vendor scorecards aggregate receipt acceptance, on-time delivery, and SCAR closure into a rolling rating exposed on the Vendor Card via a page extension.
Everything is real Business Central: table and page extensions, event subscribers, permission sets scoped for QA vs. purchasing, job queue entries for periodic scorecard recalculation, and the standard OData v4 / REST API so Power BI, Power Automate, and Dataverse can read inspection and SCAR data. No core objects are modified, so your base BC stays upgrade-safe across Microsoft's monthly and major releases.
You own the source. ECOSIRE delivers the .app, the AL project, deployment notes, and a hypercare window.

No. This is a build-to-order extension. ECOSIRE builds it in AL specifically for your environment and installs it as a per-tenant extension (or a private app package) directly on your Business Central tenant. There is no public AppSource listing or instant download — you get a tailored extension plus its source code.
What is the typical delivery lead time?
After a short scoping call to confirm your items, vendors, inspection characteristics, and scorecard rules, a standard build is typically delivered in about one working week. Heavier customization (complex sampling logic, deep Dataverse/Power Platform integration, multi-company rollout) extends this. We confirm the exact timeline in writing before work begins.
How does ongoing support and updates work?
Every build includes a post-go-live hypercare window. Because the extension uses table/page extensions and event subscribers — never modified core objects — it stays compatible across Business Central's monthly and major updates. We offer ongoing support and update retainers, and since you receive the full AL source, your own team or any AL developer can also maintain it.
Does it work with Business Central cloud (SaaS) and on-premises?
Yes. The extension is built to the AL extension model and deploys to Business Central online (SaaS) and supported on-premises versions. For SaaS we install it as a per-tenant extension; for on-prem we deploy the .app to your service tier. We confirm your exact BC version during scoping.
Can the inspection and SCAR data feed Power BI or Dataverse?
Yes. All inspection, scorecard, and SCAR data is exposed through Business Central's OData v4 / REST API, so Power BI, Power Automate, and Dataverse (Power Platform) can read it. We include a sample Power BI scorecard report or a Power Automate notification flow as part of delivery.
