This is build-to-order software, not an instant AppSource download. ECOSIRE scopes your packing rules, builds the AL extension (table extensions, page extensions, a dedicated Pack-Station role-center page, and codeunits), then installs it as a per-tenant extension on your Business Central Online or on-premises environment and supports it afterward. Nothing is published to the public marketplace — the code is yours, deployed to your tenant.
Under the hood it extends the Warehouse Shipment, Registered Whse. Activity, and Posted Whse. Shipment tables, subscribes to posting events so pack data flows into BC without bypassing standard validation, and exposes a custom API page (OData v4) so scale, scanner, and label-print middleware can read pack tasks and post back weights and tracking numbers. Cartonization assigns lines to box types by volume/weight rules; the station prints a pack list and a carrier shipping label from BC at close. Weight capture compares scale reads against expected weights and raises discrepancy alerts. Multi-order batch packing lets one operator pack several orders in a single wave.
Permission sets, a job queue entry for label/manifest retries, and optional Dataverse / Power Platform integration (Power BI throughput dashboards, a Power Automate flow for short-pack escalation) ship as part of the scoped build.

+How long does delivery take, since this is built to order?
Typical lead time is two to four weeks from a confirmed scope. The first few days are a discovery call to capture your packing flow, carton types, scale/printer hardware and carrier label format. We then build the AL extension, share a build for UAT on your sandbox, and once you sign off we install the per-tenant extension on production. Complex cartonization or multi-carrier label requirements can extend this — we give you a firm timeline before any work starts.
+Is this on Microsoft AppSource? Can I just download it?
No. This is a build-to-order extension, not a public AppSource listing. ECOSIRE builds it for your specific packing rules and installs it as a per-tenant extension directly on your Business Central environment. The code is yours and lives in your tenant — there is no marketplace download link, and you are not sharing a generic app with other companies.
+What happens with ongoing support and Business Central updates?
The build includes a post-go-live support window for fixes and operator questions. Because Business Central ships monthly minor and twice-yearly major updates, we test the extension against the upcoming release ring and adjust event subscribers or API objects if Microsoft changes a base object. Ongoing maintenance — new carriers, extra box rules, BC version compatibility — is available as a support retainer or per-change, quoted up front.
+Does it work with our scanners, scales and label printers?
Yes, through the custom API page (OData v4) and standard BC printing. Scanners that emulate keyboard input work directly on the Pack-Station page; scales and label/middleware that speak REST read pack tasks and post weights and tracking numbers back via the API page. During scoping we confirm your exact hardware and carrier so the label format and scale integration are built and tested before go-live.
+Will it bypass standard Business Central warehouse posting or break our data?
No. The extension uses event subscribers and extends standard tables (Warehouse Shipment, Registered/Posted Whse. Activity) so packed quantities and package details flow through normal BC validation and posting. It does not write around the standard ledger or invent parallel records, which keeps your inventory, traceability and upgrades intact.
