Complex VAT schemes break Business Central's standard VAT posting setup the moment you operate as a VAT group representative, apply reverse charge across entities, or trade in jurisdictions that mandate domestic reverse charge or split payment (PL, IT and similar). The standard VAT Posting Setup matrix and VAT Statement were not designed to consolidate multiple group members onto a single representative return, nor to validate that the correct reverse-charge VAT Business/VAT Product Posting Group combination was applied at the line level.

VAT Group & Reverse Charge Manager is a custom AL extension that ECOSIRE designs, builds, installs and supports on your own Business Central environment. It is delivered as a per-tenant extension (not a public AppSource listing), so the table extensions, page extensions, event subscribers and permission sets are scoped to your tenant and your chart of accounts, posting groups and company structure.
The extension extends BC's native VAT engine rather than replacing it: it consolidates submissions from group members into the representative company, drives reverse-charge and domestic-reverse-charge posting through configurable rules, models split-payment behaviour, and runs validation routines that catch mis-posted lines before they reach the VAT return. Where you already run multi-company or Dataverse/Power Platform integrations, settlement and reporting data is exposed through the standard BC API (OData/REST) so it can feed downstream reporting.
This is honest build-to-order software: scoped to your VAT schemes during discovery, built in AL, installed on your sandbox first, then promoted to production with your sign-off. +Will it conflict with Business Central's standard VAT posting?
No. The extension builds on BC's native VAT engine using table/page extensions and event subscribers rather than replacing it. Standard VAT posting setup, VAT entries and the VAT statement remain intact; our logic drives the correct posting groups and adds consolidation, settlement and validation on top.
+Can the consolidated VAT data feed our reporting tools?
Yes. Consolidated VAT and cross-entity settlement data is exposed through the standard Business Central REST/OData API and in a Dataverse/Power Platform-friendly shape, so it can feed Power BI or other downstream reporting flows. We provide sample queries as part of handover.
